In year 3 we are looking at recounts, as our topic is the weather, and we were subjected to a lot of rain last week, we decided to write a fictional recount on "Pontyclun in flood". We went to the river on Wednesday to look and listen at the fast flowing water. We came up with adjectives to describe what we could see and hear before filling in our planning forms explaining What Where, Why, Who and When the fictional flood happened. We are going to become reporters next week as we write up our recounts in pencil before creating a newspaper report with images,headlines and text in Microsoft word.
