Year 3 and 4 raise money for Children In Need

This year we raised over £1100 for Children In Need, and years 3 and 4 certainly played their part. Well done to all of the children for raising so much money for a fantastic cause.

Mark Colbourne - Olympic Paralympic Gold Medalist

Mark Colbourne - Olympic Paralympic Gold Medallist came to our school today to give us all a glimpse of a gold medal, inspire us with his amazing story and give us an extra PE lesson. All of the children had their photograph with Mark and the Gold Medal. He spent the whole afternoon with our children and game them inspiration to follow their dreams. Thank you Mark

Data Handling

This week in year 3/4 we have been looking at data handling in maths, in particular we have been looking at pictograms. We have done lots of work in our books but it is important to make sure that we make maths real in as many ways as possible. Here is a human pictogram. It has a title, labels for each row and a key. It shows the children's favorite foods.
