Rock Test Challenge

Last week we did the Rock Test Challenge. We wanted to see if some rocks were hard and others soft. We also wanted to test if the rocks were permeable. We had great fun learning and found some interesting results.

Here are some more photos of our soil investigation. We discovered that sandy soil drained the quickest.

Soil Investigation

Today we have been investigating which soil drained the quickest.We used top soil, sandy soil and we discussed the effect of clay soil. We measured in ml the amount of water that came through the funnel. Here are some of our pictures.
