Guess the adverb!

We've been learning about adverbs this week and played a game like charades. Each group was given an action and an adverb to act out.

The question was- HOW

did they do it?

We had to use our communication skills- using prior knowledge to help us, listening skills. Can you guess what they're doing?

PSE- What makes a good friend- thinking skills

We've been discussing the qualities of a good friend in PSE. We used our thinking skills - plan, reflect to write down our thoughts.

We used a place mat to sort our ideas in a group. We had to choose the top 5 qualities of a friend and agree them as a group. Then we presented group's ideas to the class.

We thought long and hard- can you see our brains working?! We've displayed our results in class. Come and see if you agree with us.

Geography - Investigating Skills

Today J1 and J2 went on a visit to the local fruit and vegetable shop in Pontyclun. We wanted to find out how the fruit and veg gets to the shop. We used our communication skills developing information and ideas. We found out that the fruit and veg comes from the market in Cardiff and a local supplier grows tomatoes and runner beans for the shop to buy. When the fruit and veg is out of date a very hungry goat gets the food. We enjoyed our visit today and followed this up with work in the class. Here are a few photos of our visit.

Today in MUSIC, we continued exploring rhythmic patterns.

First of all we listened to PLEASE, MR NOAH.
Next we had to click and tap the steady beat.
Then we followed each animal's sound on the Rapping Rhythms photocopy.



Our next task was to learn the RHYTHM PATTERNS for each animal.

We were divided into groups and added our own actions.

We had to perform our rhythm and action to the class in time to a steady beat.

We then built up a class performance

We added our actions and rhythm patterns to the CD track.

We had great fun in Music today.
