Celtic designs painted on their faces ready for battle. The children had a very exciting day. They had to pass the large stone that took them back in time to the Iron Age Celts. They were then greeted by the cries of the tribe as they climbed the hill to the Celtic village. They spent time practising their skills in weaving hazel branches into baskets and walls, throwing on the 'daub', grinding flour and making dough. Of course there was time for a lovely picnic in the sunshine.

The children were able to take turns to pour tomatoes over Miss Harwood. She said that they tasted good, but it's not the way that I would want to try them.
During our Red Nose Day activities, the children decorated cakes. They were all given the same amount of decorative pieces, but more of some found their way onto the cakes than others! 
We made a visit to Bethel Baptist Church, having already visited St. Paul's Church. The children were shown a short video of the resident band playing during a service, and a baptism. They were then able to compare the two churches

If you were in school today, you would bump into all sorts of characters. The children and staff dressed up as a book character for World Book Day
Year 3 had the chance to practise their rugby skills during a visit by Cardiff Blues.These could be some of the faces of the future Welsh team!
During our science lesson we looked at a picture of a tree with a trunk this wide - the children decided that it is still a plant
